Go Ice Skating
Is there anything more wintery than spending the night skating around a rink under trees adorned by Christmas lights? Strap on those skates and head to Folsom Ice Rink! Don’t worry if you do not have your pair of skates as you can rent a pair for a minimal fee when you get there. This rink is open to both kids and adults. It is open from 10 in the morning until 9:30 at night, through January 16.
Visit Global Winter Wonderland
This theme park holds a lantern festival until January 8. The daily pass costs $18, while senior’s/children’s pass cost $16. Check out New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular
This tradition is one for the books. Nowhere else does New Year Festivities better than Old Sacramento. You will see children dressed in unusual costumes and beautiful face paints. Attend Wild Nights and Holiday Lights
Held at the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, Wild Nights and Holiday Lights is an event that will allow you to celebrate this winter season while supporting the animals of the sanctuary. It is open from December 6 to December 30, from 5:00 to 8:00 in the evening. The park is decorated with twinkling lights. Santa does a nightly visit too, so that the kids can take a photo with him! There are also carolers ready to sing your holiday classics! It is also a great chance to see animals who are more active at night! This event is both fun and informative!
